Mahtab Saadatmand is a Vancouver-based cellist and educator who holds a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Victoria, where she studied with Professor Pamela Highbaugh-Aloni and the Lafayette String Quartet. She also holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance.
With over seven years of teaching experience, Mahtab has worked with students of all ages in both private and group settings. Her teaching focuses on strong technique, healthy playing habits, musical expression, and building confidence through supportive and structured lessons.
In addition to private instruction, she has experience leading string ensembles and group classes, helping students develop listening skills, ensemble awareness, and collaborative musicianship. She has also served as an instructor and teaching assistant in music theory at the University of Victoria.
Alongside teaching, Mahtab is an active performer and composer, presenting solo, chamber, and interdisciplinary projects that explore new perspectives in classical music.
