Behzad Abtahi is a seasoned musician, singer, and percussion instructor with a career spanning nearly thirty years. He began his professional journey in Iran in 1996, immersing himself in the world of rhythm and sound with a focus on Spanish-flamenco percussion. Over time, his musical experience expanded to include a wide range of genres — from pop, Persian, and Arabic music to Latin and fusion — establishing him as a multi-style, expressive, and adaptive artist.
Throughout his career, Behzad has collaborated with renowned artists and ensembles in Iran and abroad. His work includes live performances, studio recordings, international tours, orchestral collaborations, and contributions to albums and theatrical productions. He has also partnered with major instrument brands such as Korg, Roland, LP (Latin Percussion), and Meinl Percussion, reflecting his recognition as a respected professional in the global music community.
As a teacher, Behzad shares his passion for rhythm with students of all ages, offering instruction in Cajón, Drums, Bongos, Conga, and Djembe, from beginner to advanced levels. His method emphasizes creativity, precision, and storytelling through rhythm — blending traditional and modern techniques to create a learning experience that is both technically rich and emotionally engaging.
